Today we began our departure from Prince Edward Island and headed for Nova Scotia. We departed Tignish at 8:30 AM and headed south. We then headed west, to Cape West, to ride along the coastline. After a short loop, we headed south again bound for the Confederation Bridge to cross back over into New Brunswick. It was cloudy, very windy and threatening rain all morning. The wind was very disconcerting for Ronna and Janet as we again crossed the eight mile bridge.
We arrived in Nova Scotia around noon and made a stop at the welcome center to gather info on sights to see while here.

We had made our lodging reservations, through the Nova Scotia Tourism Bureau, for the Victoria Motel in Amherst, NS. When we arrived, we thought we had arrived at the Bate's Motel (if you saw the movie Psycho, you'll know what I'm talking about). We decided to stay at the motel as they have a 48 hour cancellation policy and we would have had to pay for the rooms anyway. It made us appreciate our lodging last night, at the former convent, even more. We decided to go to a movie so that we would spend less time in our rooms. We saw the movie UP.
